Puppies begin learning loose‑leash walking through gentle exposure, reward‑based guidance, and short practice sessions. Training sessions teach puppies to walk calmly without pulling, resisting, or crossing the handler's path.  These early habits support calm walks, better focus, and easier transitions into family routines.  The handler will work with the puppy on keeping focus on the handler, sitting when handler stops, breaking into a walk again when handler gives the cue, and will also work with puppy on impulse control - to not tug and pull when kitty crosses the path, a squirrel scampers up a tree, or a leaf falls in the walking path.  On take-home day, families will be equipped with a progress report, which includes a key to verbal commands used with puppy, as well as puppy's personal training collar and leash.
